As you may have noticed from our recent customer and market communication,Bruker and Analytik Jena have agreed to sell the ICP-MS business to Analytik Jena.This is a major step into the future to ensure competitiveness and growth and is a guarantor for further technical innovation. With the acquisition of the ICP-MS business, Analytik Jena AG is now in a position to offer the complete instrument portfolio for every major and trace elemental analysis with a unique and differentiated range of Atomic Absorption Spectrometers (AAS), the new Optical Emission Spectrometer PlasmaQuant ?  PQ9000 – to former Bruker ICP-MS customers.

Analytik Jena will manage all existing and future ICP-MS installations, including service contracts, supply of spares and consumables, maintenance and repairs, as well as application support. Actually, most of the customers will notice the same faces as before, but get to know also new people, since the majority of the existing Bruker ICP-MS team will become part of the larger, dedicated Analytik Jena elemental analysis team – and form then a combined team of specialists and scientists with commitment for all means of atomic spectroscopy – all in one group and one commercial sales team to serve the existing and future customers of ICP-MS.

This transaction was closed on September 12 th , 2014 and all agreed responsibility for the business was transferred. Analytik Jena will also take over all the existing global local sales and service activities from Bruker and move the local demo centers to their respective sites in these countries.

Bruker and Analytik Jena will cooperate closely for the coming weeks to make the transition of all personnel, spare parts and production goods as smooth as possible, however your first point of contact for sales and service requests will be transferring from September 13 th  on to Analytik Jena.
